Sports Premium Funding
In April 2013, the Government announced new annual funding (Sports Premium) for physical education (PE) and sport. This funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. The funding must be used to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sport provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of. It is up to individual schools to determine how best to use this additional funding and they will be assessed on how effectively it is being used by Ofsted.
Objectives
-To improve the provision in PE and sport within the school’s curriculum for Physical Education
-To improve the quality of teaching and learning in PE and sport
