Youth employment training - Generation's IT Support Programme

IT Support Programme open in Greater Manchester

 

Generation offer free employment training programmes to young people aged 18 to 25 years old in Greater Manchester, who are not currently in employment, education or training and are looking for work.  

 

Our offer

  • Training: technical and employability skills (no experience or qualifications required).
  • Mentoring: 1:1 during our programme and for 6 months post-programme.
  • Employers: connect graduates of our programmes to hiring employers and support with interview preparation.
  • Support: work-related benefits can still be received on Generation programmes due to our partnership with DWP. Laptop and internet access provided to those in need.

  • Start date: 12th July 2021 (duration of 12 weeks on Zoom)
  • Benefits to participants:
    • Gain access to a career in technology, which is the UK’s fastest growing sector (6x more than any other)!
    • Earn up to £24k as a starting salary and after 2 to 3 years progression to Team Leader, Desktop Engineer or System Administrator (£24–35k).
    • Other career options include specialising in Databases, Cloud, Security or Infrastructure.

Eligibility

  • Aged 18-25 and not currently in education, training, or stable employment
  • Have the legal right to work & live in the UK
  • Living in Greater Manchester
  • Available full time for the programme and ready to enter employment
