Keeping Safe Online - Workshop 9.00am on 16/11/23

Working together -

How can we keep our children safe online?

Thank you to all our parents and carers who completed the questionnaire on the school website.

At Newall Green, our children’s mental and emotional health, safety, happiness and wellbeing is very important to us. Whether through social networking, gaming or studying, being online is a big part of many of our children’s’ lives. While the internet has many positives and provides many opportunities for young people, there are hidden dangers and new types of risk are emerging all of the time.

We would like to work closely with our parents and carers to help support each other in keeping our children safe online.

All parents and carers are warmly invited to an informal session at 9am on Thursday 16th November in the KS2 hall.

I will be working alongside the Manchester Healthy Schools team to provide an informative and useful session on how we can work together to keep our children safe online.

Within the session we will discuss:

· How we teach children about safety online within school.

· Information about risks and dangers involved in online activity.

· Information on how to set up parental controls and limit online risks.

We hope to see you there.

Our Mission Statement...

At Newall Green Primary School, we are a Peace Mala and Rights Respecting School. We provide an environment where the children feel happy, safe and ready to learn.
We use the five key skills for life; problem solving, teamwork, self-management (initiative, organisation, accountability), self-belief (confidence, resilience, positive attitude), and communication, so we are ‘Aiming High to Reach Our Goals’.
