9th July 2021

Dear Parents & Carers,

As we come to the end of the 2020-2021 academic year I thought it would be a good time to update you with the plans over the next week and September.

Over Lockdown we said goodbye to a number of adults who worked in school. Mrs. Chapman, Mrs. Bunting, Mrs. Wheeler all retired from their positions as Teaching Assistants. Miss Bennett (3NB) also left us for a teaching position in another school. We had hoped to have a leaving assembly for them before we finished in July but due to Covid restrictions this has not been possible.

Leaving us in July will be Mr Fisher (Attendance Officer) Miss Walker (Teaching Assistant), Mrs. Watts  (Reception Phase Leader), Mrs. Harrison (3HM), Miss Holgate (Lunch Time Organiser) and Miss Woodward (6TW). We wish them well as they go on to new adventures.

Miss Hart (4KH), Mr. Sloane (5RS) and Miss Grayshon (3EG) will be joining our team in September.

Next week Teachers will meet their new classes, this will probably be done outside weather permitting so that we reduce the chances of Covid transmission. Last year we asked the teachers to put a short video onto the website so that Parents and Children could familiarise themselves with their new teacher ready for September. This worked very well and we have asked the teachers to do this again.

The year 6 production is being filmed on Friday 16th July and will be ready for view shortly after that. Reports will also be sent out next week.

We return to school on Monday 6th September. There is no INSET training day on the 6th, the children are straight back in. We ask that we return to FULL UNIFORM PLEASE, this includes black footwear.

Thank you once again for your support through such a difficult year.

Have a safe and relaxing summer,

Yours sincerely

Sarah Rudd
